Setting realistic goals
When setting goals to improve your health - it is crucial to ensure that you are setting achievable and realistic goals and that you are ready to make the changes that meeting these goals requires.
If you chose a goal you are not yet ready to tackle, you may start well, but soon fall off track and find excuses not to do it.
Overambitious goals negatively affect our motivation, putting us off making further changes that will improve our health, both now and in the future.
Our advice?
Don't plow on regardless! If you are not ready for this goal yet, that's ok - change it to something you are ready for and build on the success of achieving a small goal first.
Improving your health is an ongoing process, every step you take is one closer to your overall goal - so take the time to set yourself up for success!
